Beginning Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, CATS Gold Line streetcars will begin operating using stop request service. Streetcars will stop when customers press onboard "Stop Request" buttons or if customers are waiting to board on station platforms.

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will temporarily and intermittently close sections of the Southpark Community Transit Center due to ongoing upgrades at the transit center.

When: Now until further notice, intermittently.
