0:34-0:40: And type your destination into the 'Plan your trip' banner at the top of the screen.

0:51-0:56: You'll then be asked if you would like to add additional passengers and accessories, like a wheelchair.

1:02-1:04: Once you've confirmed your details, it's time to select a payment option.

1:06-1:10: You can either use an existing pass or purchase new one.

1:11-1:13: Select Local Bus & LYNX fare.

1:14-1:17: Then, you'll need to choose a ticket type.

1:18-1:23: You can select one-way, weekly unlimited, or monthly unlimited rides.

1:24-1:29: After you've chosen the type of ticket, you'll select the number of tickets you and your passengers need.

1:30-1:33: Remember to purchase a ticket for each passenger you've added.

1:35-1:39: Now you're ready to add the tickets to your cart and select a payment method.

1:40-1:44: Since there's none in our CATS Pass wallet, we'll need to purchase one.

1:45-1:49: You can also set up a new payment option with your credit or debit card here.

1:54-1:57: Once you've reviewed your information, simply swipe to pay.

1:58-2:02: Your ticket will pop up immediately after purchase.

2:02-2:10: Be sure to wait until you're ready to ride, because one way tickets are only good for 90 minutes after activation.

2:15-2:22: Tap Request ride now at the bottom of your screen, and we'll let you know when your driver is on the way.

The fare is $2.20 each way for each passenger. There are several accepted ways to pay for this service:

• Using the CATS-Pass App:

› All passes previously purchased in the app are accepted.
› If you don’t have an account already, you can set up a payment account in the CATS-Pass app and pay by credit card or reloadable cash products, such as the Cash App or Venmo debit card, at the time of booking.

• Monthly and Weekly paper passes are also accepted. Please note: Paper Day passes, 10-Ride passes and Punch passes are not.
• All-Access Passes are only accepted through the CATS-Pass app.
• Cash is NOT accepted on any CATS Micro vehicles

Please keep in mind when transferring to the Express Bus and Express Plus there will be an additional charge to cover the difference between the two fares. Express Bus one-way fares are an additional $.80 to transfer from CATS Micro. Express Plus would be an additional $2.20 to transfer from CATS Micro.

1. Have your fare ready.

You may set up a payment account in the CATS-Pass app and pay by credit card or reloadable cash products, such as the Cash App or Venmo debit card, at the time of booking. Monthly and Weekly paper passes are also accepted. All-Access Passes are only accepted through the CATS-Pass app, and cash is not accepted on CATS Micro vehicles. The fare is $2.20 each way for each passenger.

2. See where CATS Micro stops.

When you schedule a trip, you will confirm the address or name of the locations where you would like to be picked up and dropped off. The app will then assign you a safe “pickup point” where you’ll meet the vehicle, usually at a nearby corner or no more than a block away from your current location. Check the app for walking directions and follow your driver’s progress in real-time so you know exactly when to head to your pickup point. If using the customer service line to book your trip, please note there may be difficulty in confirming exact pickup location and it is recommended to use the CATS-Pass app when possible.

3. Make sure to book for everyone in your party.

When booking, you are booking one seat. Fare for one seat in CATS Micro is $2.20. At the time of booking, you will have the option to add additional companion(s), however this will require an additional fare. Note you will need to make this request if speaking directly with a CATS customer service representative via 704.336.7433.

4. Know the requirements for children.

Riders aged 13 and older may ride CATS Micro independently. However, children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult for their safety. For young children, please keep in mind that booster or child seats are not provided by the CATS Micro service. Per North Carolina law, children under the age of 8 must be secured in a child restraint system, such as a car seat or booster seat. Users must bring the appropriate booster or child seat when using the service.

5. Request an accessible vehicle, if needed.

If you need an ADA-accessible vehicle for any reason, be sure to request it during the booking process. When booking on the CATS-Pass app please select the appropriate accessory on the booking page of the app to ensure that the vehicle coming to pick you up meets your needs. If booking your trip through the call center, please make sure to share your request with the representative.

6. Know what you can bring.

Only bring items along that you can safely navigate and handle on your own while traveling on CATS Micro services. Items may not block access for other patrons onboard the vehicle unless you book an additional seat for your item. Only service animals are allowed on CATS Micro trips.

7. Cancel or change your trip.

Once your trip is confirmed, you cannot change the pickup location or destination. To modify your destination, you must cancel the current trip and rebook a new one. If for some reason you are no longer able to make your ride, please cancel as soon as possible. Cancellations must be made before your driver arrives, or you will be considered a no-show and your ride will not be refunded. Please note that if you cancel two consecutive trips, you will be temporarily blocked from booking new trips for two hours.
