Charlotte Transportation Center

When the Charlotte Transportation Center opened in December 1995, it became a premier facility for riders of the City's public transportation system. Sitting at the corner of Brevard and East Trade Streets, this unique building serves as the central hub and main transfer point for CATS services. The Charlotte Transportation Center or CTC offers several passenger amenities; including climate-controlled waiting areas, public restrooms, 24-hour on-site security, on-site customer information and pass sales. The bus pavilion has twenty inside bays complete with audio and video information systems.

The Center's hours of operation are 4:50 a.m. - 1:30 a.m. daily.
Shops and restaurants in the Center operate Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

In the middle of the building, you can find our customer service staff.
Hours of operation are:
Weekdays: 5:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 a.m. - 12: 00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Lost and found: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Rosa Parks Place Community Transit Center

The Beatties Ford Road Area is one of the most transit-supportive neighborhoods in Charlotte. This community transit center is located neat Beatties Ford Road and Rosa Parks Place. This neighborhood-scaled facility allows neighborhood residents to board regular and small buses in a weather-protected, safe and secure area. The transit center is integrated into the community, providing a focal point for neighborhood activities. The transit center opened in 2006.

Eastland Community Transit Center

Eastland Community Transit Center is a neighborhood-sized transit center located at the Eastland Mall along Central Avenue. The facility covers approximately 1.5 acres and includes an open-air plaza, covered passenger waiting areas, pedestrian pathways and bicycle parking. The facility opened in October 2006.

Features

• Can accommodate 8-10 small and regular-sized buses linking the center with uptown and other neighborhood destinations
• Provides a safe and comfortable facility to use and transfer on CATS routes 9, 221, and 222
• Includes comfortable, well-lit passenger waiting areas, seating and passenger shelters
• The facility includes a small building housing a driver comfort station, provisions for on-site surveillance and security, and up-to-date passenger information
• On-site surveillance at all times during transit service hours

SouthPark Community Transit Center

SouthPark Community Transit Center is located in the parking deck of the SouthPark Mall between Belk and Dillard's. The facility was the first community transit center in the City of Charlotte and opened in December 2004.

Features

• Climate-controlled waiting area, benches and displays for bus route and schedule information
• Transfer to Routes 19, 28, 30, and 57
• Monitored at all times with video surveillance
• Public art by George Handy is incorporated into the design of the transit center
