Beginning Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, CATS Gold Line streetcars will begin operating using stop request service. Streetcars will stop when customers press onboard "Stop Request" buttons or if customers are waiting to board on station platforms.

Effective: Aug. 19
To support ongoing system reliability improvements, the Blue Line will single-track between Scaleybark and Archdale Stations overnight on Wednesday, Aug. 19. This work will begin at 11 p.m. and continue until the end of revenue service.
This brief overnight project will not affect normal morning service, and all trains will operate on their regular schedules starting at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20.
During the brief single-tracking period, all trains will use the northbound (Uptown-bound) track. Customers at Scaleybark, Woodlawn, Tyvola and Archdale should board from the northbound platforms. Directional signage and audio announcements will be available at stations to guide customers.
