CANCELED - Improvements Project at French Street Station this Weekend
Published on August 26, 2026
Rider’s Alert
Route: Gold Line
Effective: Aug. 29 & 30
The concrete improvement project at the Gold Line’s French Street Station, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29 and Sunday, Aug. 30, has been canceled.
This cancelation is based on current weekend weather forecasts that project a high probability of storms throughout the scheduled work timeline. Rain may compromise the application of concrete and impact the evaluation of project success.
Due to the cancelation, the Gold Line will operate normally this weekend and Streetcars will serve all stations. Streetcars will not bypass French Street Station and customers can expect service on the entire Gold Line.
As a reminder, the Gold Line will begin to operate with Stop Request button service on Monday, Aug. 31. Customers must press onboard “Stop Request” buttons to signal Gold Line operators to stop at their desired stations. Customers waiting on Gold Line platforms do not need to do anything differently.
Additional Stop Request button information and an instructional video on how to use the Stop Request button are available on the CATS website.
Use the CATS-Pass app for live vehicle tracking and trip planning. For questions or concerns, riders can speak directly to a customer service representative at 704-366-7433.
