CATS Announces July Service Changes
Beginning Monday, July 7, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will adjust the following routes and services as part of a routine service change.
Service Discontinuations:
Village Rider and Davidson Shuttle Routes:
CATS will retire the North Mecklenburg Village Rider and the Davidson Shuttle (routes 97, 98, 99 and route 290) services. Riders in Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and the Northlake Mall area will transition to using CATS Micro, the newly launched on-demand public shared-ride service. Riders can use CATS Micro from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends. Rides can be booked via the CATS-Pass app or by calling CATS customer service at 704-336-7433.
Route 47x Huntersville Greenhouse:
CATS will discontinue Route 47x due to low ridership.
Schedule Adjustments:
Route 24 Nations Ford Road:
CATS will improve the weekday frequency on route 24 to run every 30-minutes.
CATS will adjust the schedules on the following routes to help improve the reliability of service:
- Route 4 – Belmont
- Route 8 – Tuckaseegee Road
- Route 11 – North Tryon Street
- Route 12 – South Boulevard
- Route 14 – Providence Road
- Route 15 – Randolph Road
- Route 17 – Commonwealth
- Route 18 – Paw Creek
- Route 23 – Shamrock Drive
- Route 26 – Oaklawn Avenue
- Blue Line - Changes begin July 5. The changes are minor, impacting schedules by two minutes or less.
CTC Bus Bay Changes:
CATS will reassign the following routes to new bus bays to help reduce layover conflicts:
- STS will be relocated to Bay L.
- Route 4 will relocate from Bay U to Bay T.
- Route 7 will be at Bay M.
- Route 17 will relocate from Bay T to Bay K.

Bays B-26, C-22, D-21, E-34, F-8 are on the far right side of the map and K-17, J-14, I-27, H-9, G-10 on the center-right of the map structure. In the middle of the structure is Pavilion C, which contains the Customer Service Pass Sales & Information booth. Directly to the right of center is L-STS (paratransit services) M-7, N-16, O-11, P-1. Just inside the right of the building are Bays U-23, T-4, S-15, R-6, Q-19. Finally, on the Brevard Street side just outside the right wall of the structure is V-20 and below that is where Route 5 (Sprinter to Airport) and Route 35 is directly below that.

Cambio de Horario
A partir del Lunes 7 de Julio, el Sistema de Tránsito del área de Charlotte (CATS) modificará las siguientes rutas y servicios como parte de una modificación rutinaria de servicios.
