Blue Line/Rail Trail Effective: April 19, 2026
As CATS prepares installation of a new track crossing as part of the South End Station project, a portion of the Rail Trail will be closed beginning April 19. As work is completed, sections of the Rail Trail will reopen (May-July). Signage will be posted indicating where through access is closed and where local access to businesses remains open.
Bicycle and pedestrian detours will run from Tremont Avenue to Remount Road using Hawkins Street and Dunavant Street on the west side and South Boulevard on the east side. Please use the image of the map as a visual guide.
We appreciate your patience during this construction project. Our goal is to minimize disruptions as much as possible. Updates on the project will be shared via CATS social media channels, Rider’s Alerts and on the South End Station Project page.
