Rider’s Alert Rail Trail Effective: Sept. 15, 2025
Beginning Monday, Sept. 15, a portion of the Rail Trail will be closed for the Morehead Crossing project. This project is intended to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety of the Morehead Crossing ahead of the upcoming I-277 Pedestrian Bridge project. The closure is expected to be in effect until Nov. 1, 2025.
Blue Line operations and stations should not be impacted. Signs will be in place to guide Rail Trail users away from the affected area and back to an open portion of the trail. We will provide updates as they are available and appreciate your patience during this time.
