On Oct. 5, 2026, CATS implemented several improvements as part of the annual October service change, including increased frequency, a new weekday bus route connecting North Meck to Uptown, and a new microtransit zone in West Charlotte.These service enhancements were made possible by last year's transit referendum and demonstrate early progress toward the CATS 2055 Transit System Plan.

Potential Blue Line Disruptions as U.S. First Lady Visits
Charlotte, N.C. – Riders may experience brief disruptions or delays in service along the Blue Line near East/West Boulevard Station Tuesday, June 25 as First Lady Jill Biden visits the area. Riders can use the CATS-Pass app to track their rides in real time and be aware of service disruptions.
