MPTA & CATS Seeking Applicants for Two New Rider Advisory Committees

The Metropolitan Public Transportation Authority (MPTA) and CATS are seeking applicants for two new transit rider-focused advisory committees—the Mobility Access Committee (MAC) and the Transit Riders Advisory Committee (TRAC).

These committees will elevate rider experience into decisions that affect accessibility, service quality, customer experience and the future of our transit system.

MAC will focus on improving the transit experience for riders with disabilities and those who use Special Transportation Services (STS)/paratransit or other accessible services.

TRAC will focus on systemwide rider experience across bus, rail, microtransit and STS.

Both committees will submit reports to the MPTA Board of Trustees and the MPTA Operations & Safety Committee.

Active riders, service providers, advocates and community leaders who are passionate about transit and want to help shape and strengthen transit in Mecklenburg County are encouraged to apply.

The application period is open Tuesday, Sept. 1 through Wednesday, Sept. 30. Visit the MPTA website for more information and to submit your application.
