CATS to Resume Normal Service Tuesday; Gold Line Remains Suspended
Published on February 03, 2026
Due to ice and snow continuing to cover the Gold Line tracks, and to avoid potential damage to the tracks from traditional plowing, Gold Line service will remain suspended on Wednesday, Feb. 4. Crews will continue working to clear the tracks safely. Service is expected to resume Thursday, Feb. 5.
All other CATS services will be open, operational and on a normal schedule. Some bus routes may still be on a snow detour. Customers can check current detours by visiting this link: Current Bus Detours.
While service is resuming as scheduled, CATS urges riders to remain cautious. With temperatures expected to stay near freezing, customers should be mindful of potentially slippery spots on platforms, at bus stops and along the transit system.
CATS would like to thank our customers for their patience during this latest winter weather event. Our street teams, operators, facilities and frontline staff are working around the clock to minimize weather-related disruptions.
