Provide South End Station Construction Updates at Public Meetings

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is pleased to announce the beginning of construction on a new Blue Line station in South End, located between Remount Road and Tremont Drive. In addition to the new station, this project will serve the developing community by constructing improvements including a new track crossing between Publix and Cortland South End, a new Rail Trail section, improved sidewalks and special trackwork. Construction will begin later this month.
CATS will host an open house style public meeting Monday, March 9 at The Charlotte Urban Design Center – South End Studio from 5-7 p.m. A second public meeting will be held virtually Tuesday, March 10 via CATS YouTube at 12:30 p.m, which you can visit through this link: CATS YouTube. During these meetings, staff will explain how construction may impact residents, businesses and transit riders.
