CATS to Provide Fare Free Service on Earth Day

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Go green and celebrate Earth Day with the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS)! To reward existing riders, inspire new riders and encourage a cleaner environment, all modes of public transportation will operate fare free on Earth Day, April 22.

Sustainability is part of CATS’ strategic vision every day, making Earth Day an important time for us to celebrate with the greater Charlotte community. Riding public transit is one of the most sustainable actions our community can take, and CATS is committed to providing the best service possible.

For more ways you can celebrate Earth Day and lessen your impact on the environment, check out the City of Charlotte’s “How to Celebrate Earth Day, Every Day” webpage.

Download the CATS-Pass app to plan you trip and track your ride in real-time. For questions or concerns, riders can speak directly to a customer service representative at 704-336-RIDE (7433).
