Both the Blue Line and Gold Line will be closed for scheduled preventative maintenance from Saturday, April 25 at 2 a.m. until Monday, April 27 at 4 a.m. A bus bridge will replace all trains. From April 27 - 29 the Bus Bridge continues, but only between Scaleybark and Bland stations, to support South End Station construction.
As CATS prepares installation of a new track crossing as part of the South End Station project, a portion of the Rail Trail will be closed beginning April 19. As work is completed, sections of the Rail Trail will reopen (May-July).

Rider’s Alert Blue LineEffective: July 12, 2025
The Blue Line light rail will undergo maintenance beginning at the start of service tomorrow, Saturday, July 12. The Blue Line will single track during this time and five stations will be impacted while work is ongoing.
Old Concord, Tom Hunter, UCB, McCullough and J.W. Clay stations will only utilize one side of the rail station platform for both north and southbound trips.
Maintenance will begin on Track 1 tomorrow and switch over to Track 2 when work is completed on Track 1. Maintenance is expected to occur from July 12-22. Signage will be on the platforms to direct riders using the impacted stations.
Any updates or delays due to this maintenance effort will be communicated via Rider’s Alerts in the CATS-Pass app, at impacted stations and via CATS’ social media.
