Both the Blue Line and Gold Line will be closed for scheduled preventative maintenance from Saturday, April 25 at 2 a.m. until Monday, April 27 at 4 a.m. A bus bridge will replace all trains. From April 27 - 29 the Bus Bridge continues, but only between Scaleybark and Bland stations, to support South End Station construction.
As CATS prepares installation of a new track crossing as part of the South End Station project, a portion of the Rail Trail will be closed beginning April 19. As work is completed, sections of the Rail Trail will reopen (May-July).

CATS Announces the Holiday Bus Returns
The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is announcing the return of the Holiday Bus! This CATS bus is adorned in a winter-themed bus wrap and it provides free rides around the Charlotte region. The bus is placed on random routes throughout December, and if you see it on your route – your trip is free!
This is just one of the ways CATS aims to bring holiday cheer and good tidings to our riders. We appreciate our riders all year long, but we hope everyone enjoys this special holiday bus, coming to a route near you Dec. 7, 2024, through Jan. 4, 2025.
