The MPTA and CATS are seeking applicants for two new transit rider-focused advisory committees—the Mobility Access Committee (MAC) and the Transit Riders Advisory Committee (TRAC). These committees will elevate rider experience into decisions that affect accessibility, service quality, customer experience and the future of our transit system.

Beginning Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, CATS bus service will return to the Eastland Transit Center following a two-year closure for construction projects.
Routes 28, 221 and 222 will serve the bus bays in the reopened transit center. Convenient transfer will be available to Route 9, which will continue to provide service to Uptown and points beyond via Central Avenue.
Eastland Transit Center was closed for construction on a new roadway and pedestrian improvements.
