Blue Line

Effective: April 29, 2026

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is entering the final stretch of spring construction closures for the new South End Station.

Customers attending the Bruno Mars concert this evening and planning to use the Blue Line: Please be advised that a bus bridge remains in place between Scaleybark and Bland Street stations. To learn more about bus bridges, visit the information page by selecting this link: About Bus Bridges

Expect delays. Please allow for extra travel time and check the CATS-Pass app for real-time service updates before you head out.

Starting tomorrow, April 30, please note the following service impacts as we transition back to normal operations.

  • April 30 – May 9: Bus bridge ends and trains share a single track at New Bern Station only. Track 2 platform will be closed. Signage will guide customers to open platform.

  • May 10: Blue Line service is scheduled to return to normal operations.

  • May 10 & Beyond: No further construction-related service changes are planned until this fall.

Thank you for your patience as we build a transit system fit for the Queen City!
