Beginning Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, CATS Gold Line streetcars will begin operating using stop request service. Streetcars will stop when customers press onboard "Stop Request" buttons or if customers are waiting to board on station platforms.

Per the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), CATS is required to submit a Title VI program update to meet the requirements listed in chapters 3 and 4 of the Circular FTA C 4702.1B. Thursday, May 28 at the Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC), 303 E. Trade Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 from Noon - 2 p.m.
