Metropolitan Public Transportation Authority Special Meeting

Pursuant to G.S. 143-318.12(b) David Howard, as Chair of the MPTA, has called for a special meeting of the MPTA to be held on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, located at 600 E. Fourth Street, in room 267. The meeting is open to the public.

The purpose of the meeting shall be to consider several items related to the MPTA’s governance and to conduct the following business:

3. Action Items
   1. Rules and Procedures
   2. MPTA Bylaws
   3. Code of Ethics
   4. Meeting Calendar
   5. Designate Budget and Financial Officer

   1. Transit System Plan Overview
   2. CEO Report
   3. Chairperson Report - to discuss governance items and other items as needed
5. Closed Session (as needed)
6. Adjournment

The public can attend this meeting in person or watch the livestream on GovTV, Spectrum Cable Channel 16, Charlotte Area Transit Systems (CATS) YouTube channel and CharlotteGOVchannel on YouTube.
