Temporary CATS Bus Detour – Grand National Tour and Fan Fest

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will temporarily adjust the following routes due to road closures for the Grand National Tour: Kendrick Lamar and SZA concert and fan fest this weekend at Bank of America Stadium.

A Guide to Taking Public Transit to Lovin’ Life Music Fest

With over 80,000 participants anticipated to attend Lovin’ Life Music Fest, streamline your journey to and from the festival by taking Charlotte Area Transportation System (CATS) services.

The festival – located at First Ward Park in Uptown – is easily accessible by CATS Blue Line light rail. Attendees traveling from outside Center City are encouraged to park at a Park and Ride location.

Rail Service Suspended for Regular Preventative Maintenance

CATS will suspend Blue and Gold Line services for preventative maintenance from 2 a.m. on Saturday, April 26 to 4 a.m. on Monday, April 28. Services will resume at 5 a.m. on April 28.
During this period, bus bridges will replace rail service. Information boards at stations will direct riders to bus bridge stops, which will be marked with Connector signs.

Restriping of Woodlawn Park and Ride Extended to April 18

The 5th Annual Transit Pass Design Contest

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) launches its fifth annual Transit Pass Design Contest, asking North and South Carolina residents to submit original artwork related to the theme: 50 Years of Moving People Forward! Three winners will be selected to have their artwork printed on Local, Express and Express Plus bus passes for the 2026 calendar year.
