Both the Blue Line and Gold Line will be closed for scheduled preventative maintenance from Saturday, April 25 at 2 a.m. until Monday, April 27 at 4 a.m. A bus bridge will replace all trains. From April 27 - 29 the Bus Bridge continues, but only between Scaleybark and Bland stations, to support South End Station construction.
As CATS prepares installation of a new track crossing as part of the South End Station project, a portion of the Rail Trail will be closed beginning April 19. As work is completed, sections of the Rail Trail will reopen (May-July).

CATS Partners with Charlotte Area NC Air Awareness and Sustain Charlotte During the Clear Air Season
The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is excited to announce the start of the Clean Air Games Campaign in partnership with Charlotte Area NC Air Awareness and Sustain Charlotte!
Dates: June 24 - July 26 Objective: Encourage individuals to reduce the number of trips taken in single-occupancy vehicles (SOV) to help reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions and improve local air quality. How to Participate: Choose your mode: Use carpooling, vanpooling, public transit (CATS bus, light rail or streetcar), biking, e-biking, walking, e-scootering, lunch packing or teleworking. Log your trips: Record your trip reduction actions on the Qualtrics form. The more trips you reduce, the higher your chances of winning. Win Prizes: Gold: Electric scooter and helmet Silver: Two tickets to Charlotte FC vs. Atlanta United FC on Aug. 31, 2024 Bronze: Portable volleyball set
