As CATS prepares installation of a new track crossing as part of the South End Station project, a portion of the Rail Trail will be closed beginning April 19. As work is completed, sections of the Rail Trail will reopen (May-July).
To support construction of the future South End Station, CATS will implement single-tracking on the Blue Line starting on April 19 impacting New Bern, East/West, and Bland Street Stations. Single-tracking will coincide with the annual Spring Rail Shutdown scheduled for April 25 and 26. Blue and Gold Line will be suspended during this time, bus bridges will be in place.
