A Guide to Taking Public Transit to Lovin’ Life Music Fest
Ride the Charlotte Area Transit System to the festival at First Ward Park from May 2-4, 2025
Charlotte, N.C. – With over 80,000 participants anticipated to attend Lovin’ Life Music Fest, streamline your journey to and from the festival by taking Charlotte Area Transportation System (CATS) services.
The festival – located at First Ward Park in Uptown – is easily accessible by CATS Blue Line light rail. Attendees traveling from outside Center City are encouraged to park at a Park and Ride location along the light rail, which offers free parking to all CATS customers.
CATS Ambassadors will be stationed at I-485, JW Clay and University City Blvd. Park and Ride Stations to assist riders and answer questions about festival transportation. Ambassadors will also be present at the Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC), 7th and 9th Street Stations to direct customers to the festival.
The festival is conveniently located just off the light rail, situated between 7th and 9th Street Stations. Attendees can utilize either station to enter the festival or return to their vehicle. "The planning and coordination for the festival has been a team effort,” said CATS Interim CEO Brent Cagle. “We are looking forward to supporting our residents and out of town guests with their transportation needs throughout the weekend.”
Riders are encouraged to download the CATS-Pass app and purchase a transit pass before traveling to the festival. Don’t miss a beat of your favorite artists because you’re sitting in traffic or searching for parking. Take advantage of CATS’ discounted transit pass, which offers unlimited rides on the Blue Line, Gold Line and CATS bus services from May 2 at midnight to May 5 at 2 a.m. The 3-day passes are available for purchase for $12.00 on the CATS-Pass app, which can be downloaded on all iOS and Android devices.
