From April 27 - 29 the Bus Bridge continues, but only between Scaleybark and Bland stations, to support South End Station construction.
As CATS prepares installation of a new track crossing as part of the South End Station project, a portion of the Rail Trail will be closed beginning April 19. As work is completed, sections of the Rail Trail will reopen (May-July).
Pursuant to G.S. 143-318.12 (b) and Sec. 4 (b) of the MTC Rules of Procedure, Mecklenburg County Commissioner, Leigh Altman, as Chair of the MTC, has called a special meeting of the MTC on Wednesday, December 3rd, from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The meeting will be held at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, located at 600 E. Fourth Street, in Conference Room 267.
The purpose of the meeting shall be to receive and convey certain studies required pursuant to the P.A.V.E. Act (S.L. 2025-39) regarding the legal and financial considerations of transitioning CATS to the Metropolitan Public Transportation Authority (MPTA). The meeting is open to the public.
