Charlotte Water has published its 2024 Drinking Water Quality Report, showing zero violations and continued delivery of safe, high-quality water to over one million customers. The report, mailed to Mecklenburg County homes in June, details water sources, over 170,000 annual tests, and safety updates on lead, copper, and forever chemicals.

Charlotte Water (CLT Water) employees dedicate their efforts to delivering safe, reliable water from the river to the tap. CLT Water has 11 elevated storage tanks. Our water treatment operators fill the tanks each night to prepare for morning use. Each day they refill as needed.
