On Tuesday, Nov. 4, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will provide fare-free rides on all CATS services to polling locations region-wide.
The Adopt-A-Stop program is an initiative where individuals or groups of volunteers agree to pick up litter at CATS bus stops at least twice a month over a two-year period. Charlotte Area Transit (CATS) and Keep Charlotte Beautiful (KCB) are teaming up to tackle bus stop cleanliness and environmental protection across the Charlotte region.

The program initially launched in 2023 with these eligible stops available to adopt along Freedom Drive, Beatties Ford Road, West Boulevard and Wilkinson Boulevard. The program has extended to include four more corridors have been added to the program: Tuckasegee Rd., Monroe Rd., NoDa and Belmont neighborhoods.
1. Increase public participation and civic pride.
2. Improve cleanliness and safety at bus stops.
3. Reduce maintenance costs and improve curb appeal.
4. Strengthen partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
