Temporary Detour due to Labor Day Parade 2025

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will temporarily adjust the following routes and the Gold Line due to road closures for the Labor Day Parade in Uptown on Monday, Sept. 1.

Routes:

1, 5, 7, 8, 11, 16, 21, 22, 26, 34, 35, Gold Line

Where:

Tryon Street between 9th and 4th Street

When:

Sept. 1 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • 25650 – 4th Street and Tryon Street
  • 45749 – 4th and Church Street
  • 38420 – 4th and Poplar Street
  • 59660 – 4th and Graham Street
  • 45720 – Trade and Graham Street
  • 08430 – Trade and College Street
  • 37412 – Tryon Street and Brooklyn Village Avenue
  • 25720 – Tryon and 2nd Street
  • 25660 – Tryon and 3rd Street
  • 44020 – Tryon and 11th Street
  • 18330 – Tryon Street and Wadsworth Place
  • 25360 – College and 3rd Street
  • 25330 – College and 4th Street

In addition to bus route detours, a bus bridge will be in place on the Gold Line between CTC and French Street stations from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1. During this time, streetcars between CTC and Sunnyside stations will operate on a 20-minute headway.

Also of note, the CATS Call Center, Lost and Found, Pass Sales and Information offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of Labor Day. All CATS bus routes, Blue Line and Gold Line will operate on Saturday schedule on Monday, Sept. 1.
