Case Update: Homicide Investigation in the North Division

Charlotte, N.C. – (Monday, Oct. 13, 2025) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s (CMPD) Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the 1300 block of Winding Branch Court in the North Division.

BWC Video Released After Suspect Charged with Misuse of 911

Charlotte, N.C. – (Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025) – Today, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) released body-worn camera (BWC) video of an officer interaction regarding a check the welfare call for service that occurred on January 19, 2025. This footage was court-ordered for release following a petition.
