Officer-Involved Shooting Investigation in the Metro Division

Charlotte, N.C. – (Saturday, June 20, 2026) – On Saturday, June 20, 2026, shortly before 5 p.m., CMPD Dispatch received a Shooting Into an Occupied Vehicle call for service from a victim in the 2300 block of North Tryon Street. Shortly after that call, an off‑duty officer assigned to the CATS light rail was flagged down by this same victim.
