Case Update: Homicide Investigation in the North Division

Charlotte, N.C. – (Thursday, July 27, 2023) – The victim in this case has been identified as Corbin Street (DOB: 03/5/1991).

 

As a result of the continued investigation, detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified and a suspect in connection to the murder of Mr. Street.  

 

On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, detectives with the CMPD’s Homicide Unit traveled to Baltimore, Maryland and were in Baltimore when Dominic Miller (DOB: 10/25/1995) was arrested by the Baltimore Police Department (MD) on unrelated charges.  As a result of the information gathered thus far in the investigation, homicide detectives signed a murder warrant for Mr. Miller on Thursday, July 27, for the murder of Mr. Street.

 

The CMPD’s Homicide Unit would like to thank the Baltimore Police Department for their assistance.

 

The victim’s next of kin has been notified of the arrest warrant.

Charlotte, N.C. – (Tuesday, June 20, 2023) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit are conducting an investigation in the 10300 block of Arthur Davis Road in the North Division.

 

On Tuesday, June 20, shortly before 12:00 p.m., officers received an initial call for service regarding a vehicle crash in the 10300 block of Arthur Davis Road.  The caller indicated the driver of the vehicle was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, officers located a male with gunshot wounds and immediately began rendering aid. Huntersville Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.

 

Homicide detectives along with Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD’s Operations Command, Victim Services, Huntersville Fire Department, and Medic also assisted.
