Death Investigation - 4000 block of Carlyle Drive

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit are conducting a death investigation in the 4000 block of Carlyle Drive in the Freedom Division.

On Saturday, July 22, 2023, shortly after 11:00 a.m., Freedom Division officers responded to a Check the Welfare call in the 4000 block of Carlyle Drive. Upon arrival, officers located two adults unresponsive in the home and both were pronounced deceased on scene. While the investigation remains preliminary, the CMPD is not looking for any suspects.

Representatives from CMPD’s Operations Command, Charlotte Fire, and MEDIC also assisted. The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
