Sexual Assault Investigation - McAlpine Creek Greenway

On Saturday, July 22, 2023, shortly after 7:00 a.m., CMPD South Division Officers responded to a sexual battery and indecent exposure call for service that occurred in the 11800 block of Johnston Road. The female victim advised that while walking on McAlpine Creek Greenway, she was approached by a man who had exposed himself before grabbing her inappropriately.
The suspect then began running towards Pikes Nurseries, which is located near the greenway. He is described as a young, black male, approximately 6'1" with a slim build, wearing a blue, Kentucky Wildcats hooded sweatshirt. CMPD Officers are increasing presence and resources not only at the McAlpine Creek Greenway, but all greenways across all CMPD jurisdictions.
