Charlotte, N.C. – (Tuesday, April 21st, 2026) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Person Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 78-year-old James Garrett.

Mr. Garrett was last seen walking away from his residence in the 1000 block of Zion Ct, Charlotte, NC on 04/21/2026 at around 1 pm.

Garrett is diagnosed with cognitive impairment and may become lost or confused.

Garrett was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue pullover.

Anyone with information on Garrett’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
