Public's Assistance Requested in Missing Person Investigation

Charlotte, N.C. – (Thursday, January 15, 2026) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Person Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 90-year-old Robert Battle.
Mr. Battle was last seen on January 15, 2026, at approximately 11:00 AM, at his residence located in the 6000 Block of Old Coach Road, Charlotte. Mr. Battle was last seen leaving his residence on foot. Mr. Battle is familiar with the public transportation system and might be trying to get to a non-specific store. Mr. Battle was last seen wearing a blue/gray jacket, dark khaki pants, gray winter hat, black gloves, and a blue cane.
Mr. Battle has been diagnosed with Dementia.
Anyone with information on Mr. Battle whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
