Public's Assistance Requested in Missing Person Investigation

Charlotte, N.C. – (Wednesday, June 17, 2026) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s (CMPD) Missing Persons Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 74-year-old Samuel Huggins.

Mr. Huggins was last seen in the 11000 block of Breezehill Lane in Charlotte, NC on June 30, 2026. Mr. Huggins is diagnosed with a cognitive impairment. He left in a white 2021 Hyundai Kona with the North Carolina license plate REX-5534. The doors are reported to have red “bedazzled” door handles.

A Silver Alert has been requested.

Anyone with information on Mr. Huggins’ whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
