Public's Assistance Requested in Missing Person Investigation

Charlotte, N.C. – (Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s (CMPD) Missing Persons Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 64-year-old male, Jammelee Evans.  

Mr. Evans was last seen on foot in the 1800 block of Sunset Road in Charlotte around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30. Mr. Evans was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black zip-up jacket, dark colored pants and navy blue and grey Nike Air Jordan sneakers.

Mr. Evans has a cognitive impairment and may be lost or confused.

Anyone with information on Mr. Evan’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
