Public's Assistance Requested in Missing Person - Gibson

Charlotte, N.C. – (Sunday July 23, 2023) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Person Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 81-year-old John Allen Gibson.

Mr. Gibson was last seen driving a gray/blue 2006 Dodge Caravan with North Carolina license plate CMH-4411 (pictured below). He was last known to be driving westbound on Interstate 485 at the Providence Road exit in Charlotte on July 23, 2023, around 12:30 p.m. 

Mr. Gibson is not from the Charlotte area and family is concerned for his safety due to cognitive concerns. Anyone with information on Gibson’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
