Charlotte, N.C. – (Thursday, July 2, 2026) – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a found child.
On Thursday, July 2, a good Samaritan found a Black female child, approximately 1 to 2 years old, walking near Burnett Avenue and Triumph Drive around 10 a.m.
The child is wearing a rainbow-colored shirt and has red and clear beads in her hair.
Anyone who can identify the child or their guardian is asked to call 911 immediately.
