Update: Public’s Assistance Requested in Missing Person Investigation

Charlotte, N.C. – (Saturday, January 3, 2026) – Mr. Catron has been reunited with his family.

Charlotte, N.C. – (Saturday, January 3, 2026) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 75-year-old male Ronald Catron. 

Mr. Catron was last seen leaving his residence on foot in the 7400 block of Meridale Forest Drive around 4:00 a.m. Mr. Catron was last seen wearing his glasses, a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and gray Nike slide sandals.

Mr. Catron has been diagnosed with dementia and may become lost or confused.  

Anyone with information on Mr. Catron’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
