Charlotte, N.C. – (Thursday, June 18, 2026) – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s (CMPD) arrested a 15-year-old juvenile suspect in an Assault with a Deadly Weapon in the 500 block of N. Davidson Street in the Central Division.
On Thursday, June 17 at approximately 5:20 p.m., officers responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Injury call for service in the 500 block of N. Davidson Street. Upon arrival, officers located one juvenile victim who had sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital. A short time later, an adult victim and a juvenile victim arrived at a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds.
Upon investigation, officers determined all three victims were from the same incident and obtained probable cause to charge one of the injured juveniles. The 15-year-old juvenile has been charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon—Inflicting Serious Injury, Possession of a Handgun by a Minor and Discharging a Firearm in the City Limits. The juvenile is currently in custody while receiving medical care. The Department of Juvenile Justice has approved a petition for a Secure Custody Order for the juvenile.
