Public’s Assistance Requested in Missing Person Investigation

Charlotte, N.C. – (Friday, Sept. 5, 2025) – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s (CMPD) Missing Persons Unit is investigating the disappearance of Joseph Nsiah Bimpeh, 65.

Officers received a call for service at 10:57 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Bimpeh was seen leaving his residence near Wicked Oak Lane. He was on foot wearing a white tank top and white shorts and carrying a white, blue and yellow robe. He was last seen around 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the area of Old Plank Road and Galeburg Street, walking northwest toward Brookshire Boulevard.

Bimpeh suffers from cognitive and other health issues.

Anyone who sees Bimpeh or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
