Charlotte, N.C. – (Friday, July 10, 2026) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation at the 100 block of 30th street in the Metro Division.
On Friday, July 10, shortly before 8 p.m., officers responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call for service at the 100 block of 30th street. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims with apparent life-threatening injuries. One victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD’s Operations Command and Victim Services also responded to assist.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing. As additional information develops, it will be released by the CMPD's Public Affairs Office.
