Case Update: Homicide Investigation in the Hickory Grove Division

Charlotte, N.C. – (Friday, Feb. 27, 2026) – As a result of the continued investigation, Hickory Grove detectives identified Larry Keith Flowe, 64, as a suspect in connection to this case and Homicide Unit detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest.

On Friday, Feb. 27, CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) located and arrested Flowe.

Flowe was transported to the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) to be interviewed by Homicide detectives. At the conclusion of this interview, Flowe was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Flowe is charged with Murder.

The victim’s next of kin has been notified of this case update.

Charlotte, N.C. – (Friday, Feb. 27, 2026) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s (CMPD) Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the Hickory Grove Division.

On Wednesday, Feb. 4, at approximately 9:20 a.m., officers responded to the 7400 block of Harrisburg Road in reference to an aggravated assault call for service. Upon arrival, officers located a victim who sustained life-threatening injuries. MEDIC arrived on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. Charlotte Fire also responded to the scene.

Today, Feb. 27, the victim, Adie Moreira-Martinez, 37, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The victim’s next of kin has been notified of her death.

The suspect was taken into custody this afternoon.
