Fatal Crash Investigation in the North Division

Charlotte, N.C. – (Tuesday, March 10, 2026) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s (CMPD) Major Crash Investigation Unit are investigating a fatal vehicle collision that occurred in the 5600 block of Brookshire Blvd in the North Division.
On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at approximately 8:44 p.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers, Charlotte Fire and MEDIC responded to the 5600 block of Brookshire Blvd to a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a black Honda HR-V in the driveway of a gas station. The driver, Godwin Dele Odueso, 55, remained on scene. The victim, Terry Lee Clark, 43, was located unresponsive. Clark was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On March 9, 2026, Clark was pronounced deceased due to the injuries sustained during the incident.
Speed does not appear to be contributing factor for this collision.
The driver was screened for impairment and was found not to be impaired. Impairment is unknown for the victim and is pending a toxicology examination.
The victim’s next of kin has been notified of his death.
