On Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at 2:44 a.m., Central Division officers responded to an accident with personal injury call for service near the 100 block of the W. John Belk Freeway. Upon arriving, officers located a red 2006 Honda Civic with heavy front-end damage, occupied by a single unresponsive driver, Peter Jacob Didier, 32, and a black 1996 Ford Explorer, occupied by a single driver, Scott Brown, 57, in the southbound lanes of the W.
