Case Update: Homicide Investigation in the Steele Creek Division

Charlotte, N.C. – (Monday, June 26, 2023) – The victim in this case has been identified as Karlos Gregory (DOB: 01/21/1960). The victim’s family has been notified of her death.

Charlotte, N.C. – (Saturday, June 24, 2023) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the 1100 block of Nations Drive in the Steele Creek Division.
On Saturday, June 24, shortly before 4:00 a.m., officers received an Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Injury call for service. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims with gunshot wounds. A female victim was pronounced deceased on scene by MEDIC. A male victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Homicide detectives along with Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD’s Operations Command, Victim Services, Charlotte Fire and MEDIC also assisted.
