Overview

The Magnolia/Winthrop Storm Drainage Improvement Project will reduce street and structure flooding throughout the neighborhood. Located within a drainage area of approximately 30 acres, the project will replace aging infrastructure and provide adequate system capacity. The project area is bordered by Magnolia Avenue to the north, Ideal Way to the south, Dairy Branch to the east and Iverson Way to the west.

Project Updates

February 2024

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and engineering consultant McAdams continue with the design phase. Staff is developing detailed drawings for the proposed improvements. 

A public meeting is anticipated this summer to present the storm drainage improvements and begin the easement acquisition process.
