Hastings/Princeton Storm Drainage Improvement Project

Overview

The Hastings/Princeton Storm Drainage Improvement Project will reduce street and structure flooding throughout the neighborhood. Located within a drainage area of approximately 7 acres, the project will replace aging infrastructure and provide adequate system capacity.

The project area is bordered by Wellesley Avenue to the north, Hastings Drive to the south, Selwyn Avenue to the east and Jamestown Drive to the west. Improvements may include pipe system upgrades and channel improvements.

Project Updates

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and engineering consultant HDR, Inc. have completed the study of the existing storm drainage system in the Hastings/Princeton project area. Alternative solutions are now being developed. A public meeting will be held once the project team is ready to present a recommended solution to property owners.
