Overview

The Elvis Storm Drainage Improvement Project will reduce street flooding throughout the neighborhood. Located within a drainage area of approximately 1027 acres, the project will replace aging infrastructure and provide adequate drainage system capacity. The project area is bordered by Elvis Drive to the north, McKee Creek to the south, Eastlake Road to the east and Cedarbrook Drive to the west.

Project Updates

February 2024

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and engineering consultant Hazen & Sawyer continue with the design phase. The project will replace aging infrastructure and provide adequate drainage system capacity. 

Staff continues to coordinate with private utility companies to identify potential conflicts and relocation needs. The project team is developing detailed drawings for the proposed improvements as the easement acquisition process begins.
