Overview

The Elvis Storm Drainage Improvement Project will reduce street flooding throughout the neighborhood. Located within a drainage area of approximately 1027 acres, the project will replace aging infrastructure and provide adequate drainage system capacity. The project area is bordered by Elvis Drive to the north, McKee Creek to the south, Eastlake Road to the east and Cedarbrook Drive to the west.

Project Updates

April 2024

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and OnSite Development will be moving forward with temporary repair activities for a culvert under Denbur Drive. Thank you for your patience.

Project update

• On May 6, Denbur Drive will close between Elvis Drive and Magnolia Lily Avenue. The closure is anticipated to last three weeks. 

• Access to residences will be maintained.

• To ensure the safety of motorists, pedestrians and crew, please follow all signs.

Storm Water Services is currently in the design phase for the Elvis Storm Drainage Improvement Project. This project will continue to move forward and result in a complete long-term replacement of this culvert.
